MY VAMFF LOOK

Another VAMFF done and dusted. I’m sure we are all exhausted with the #VAMFF hashtag, I know I am.

I have been attending the festival for years but I just don’t enjoy it as much as I used to… From being a volunteer to attending yearly and seeing the festival grow I just find it now a little boring if I am honest…

As much fun as it is to get all dressed up, be in the same vicinity as socialites and insta-celebrities, have some bubbles, spend time with your gal pals and be seen at ‘VAMFF’, it just isn’t the same for me anymore. Unless you’re invited save yourself some money and enjoy the festival from your iPhone. Your feet won’t be sore, and you won’t be fanning yourself whilst watching the show cause it’s a million degrees. You also won’t miss sitting on the tiniest stool or the long ques to get a drink or have a toilet break.

I personally am more interested in the seminars, high teas and workshops so I think that’s what I will be attending next year rather than the runways. This year I did attend the David Jones opening runway as I think it’s one of the best shows at the festival.

In fashions honour though, I thought I would put together a little outfit and post some of my #inspo below. It’s not to everyone’s taste but I think my outfit was the definition of street style, clearly Vogue and Elle don’t agree. I think this ‘fashion industry’ just have its favourites when it comes to who makes ‘the list’. I would love to see more of the average attendees on the list who define ‘street style’, who put so much effort into their outfits make the cut, but I understand an image of me has no value.

Did you attend VAMFF this year?

  1. I’m afraid I didn’t get to go myself. Bet you had a great time. Love where you got your inspiration for your outfit. Not sure I could have pulled it off myself but it looks great on you.

  2. It’s always interesting to see where fashion trends are headed next. The #inspo reminds me of a twist on business casual.

  3. I haven’t heard of this one before, but I can see how it would be an exhausting event, even if it is fun. I’d say you nailed the look based off your inspiration.

  4. This sounds like a super interesting festival to attend. And the looks are awesome too. Would love to attend if I could.
