PART 6: I LOST 15KG

Finally, the post you have all been waiting for and the one I’ve been dreading to write ha-ha. I have taken my sweet little time with this one. I may be head strong, but I still have my insecurities, and even if I had a Victoria Secret body there would be someone, somewhere, having something negative to say about me.

I know what I am in for:

  • Someone saying something nasty about me on my Instagram or blog (keyboard warriors)
  • Saying something negative to my face
  • Behind my back
  • Some dickhead screen shots it and shares it with their friends

And that is fine by me. I am okay with that.

Words and actions hurt and what I don’t know won’t kill me, but when I look at these pictures I see a transformation. Not only physically but also mentally. People may call it a diet, but not once have I felt like I have been on a diet. A lifestyle change is what I would call the last 12 months.

So, my starting weight was 68kg and my current weight is 53kg.

Now, all I hear people tell me is “you were not fat’’, and I didn’t ever think I was fat, but I was heavier. Over 10kg heavier. I never realised how round my face was. You can definitely see the parts of my body that have slimmed down and toned. I was not obese but I was a heavier girl.

I have put together some pics from last year, so you guys can see how my body has changed. I think the most noticeable would be my face. How round was my face, OMG, how round was my face!! My thighs are my biggest insecurity and I still have my moments where they give me anxiety and I become my own worst critic, but when I look at these pics and see how toned they are now from just walking, I am really proud of myself and can see a significant change in my entire body. Mem used to tell me you can’t just lose weight walking, but, honey, you can. I did. Walking is all I do exercise wise. I have now stepped up my walk by adding an extra 1km when I can. I have also seen a significant difference in my stomach area and around my collar bones.

I never thought I had 15kgs weight to lose but I did. I thought I just had to lose 5kg haha. It’s crazy when I write that I have lost 15kgs.

So, there you have it. I have so much more to speak about weight loss and maintenance wise, but really wanted to get this post out for you all.
